The annual roadshow by WorkSafe comes to a close this week, paving the way for a series of 12 complimentary online webinars aimed at facilitating discussions about workplace safety from the 27th to the 31st of October. The sessions will be delivered by experts and offer an open platform to understand the latest trends in work health and safety, including upcoming psychological health regulations set for introduction later this year.
These webinars will delve into the difficulties experienced by various sectors, such as how to ameliorate health and safety in hospital settings, ensuring worker’s safety during tasks involving heights, and complying with regulatory stipulations when coordinating and handling hazardous goods in renewable projects. Here, products like Bluesafe SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) and Bluesafe WHS Management System can be of immense value, providing robust and easy-to-follow process frameworks.
WorkSafe’s Chief Health and Safety Officer, Sam Jenkin, emphasised that these sessions aim to tackle industry trends whilst adapting to innovative solutions and future challenges. “Our early registrations indicate significant interest from Victorian employers and employees who recognise that efforts towards improved work health and safety are continuous,” he noted.
Notably, these webinars are aligned with WorkSafe’s mission to minimise workplace harm and assist employers in supporting individuals returning to work, presenting an invaluable opportunity to foster knowledge leading to perpetual positive changes in Victorian workplaces.
A question and answer session will be included in each webinar where participants can seek advice on work health and safety matters. The wide array of webinar topics are indicative of the persistent importance of safe working practices, where products such as WHS management systems and policies remain paramount.
