We monitor Australian national, Commonwealth, state and territory regulator sources for new or changed Acts, Regulations, approved Codes of Practice and material guidance.
2. Capture the evidence
Each candidate records its jurisdiction, official authority, source URL, document identifier, effective date where available, and whether the material is current, future-effective, superseded or withdrawn.
3. Separate news from reviewed guidance
WHS News supports timely awareness. A Regulatory Briefing is a separate, version-controlled publication that must pass technical review and publication approval before release.
4. Review claims and practical impact
A reviewer checks the source, legal status, scope and likely operational impact. Content distinguishes legal requirements from guidance and avoids promising that a template alone makes a workplace compliant.
5. Publish with traceability
Approved briefings display an information-current date, named technical reviewer, official references, jurisdiction, legal status and content revision. The publication can also disclose corrections and replacement versions.
6. Maintain and correct
Monitoring continues after publication. A relevant source change creates a new review decision; it does not silently overwrite the active content. Material corrections are recorded and superseded content can be withdrawn or replaced.
