Farmer dies after being run over by tractor

A 64-year-old farmer has died after being run over by a tractor. The death is the second confirmed workplace fatality for 2026.
The man is believed to have been baling hay using a tractor and an attachment before he was found on a track in a gully at about 11.30pm.
He had severe injuries to his legs and pelvis.
WorkSafe investigators attended and will assess whether any further action is needed.
Two work-related deaths had been recorded at the same point last year.
