A tragic incident involving a tractor has resulted in the second workplace fatality for 2026.

A 64-year-old farmer has tragically lost his life after being run over by a tractor while using it with an attachment to bale hay. The incident occurred on a track in a gully, and he was discovered with severe injuries to his legs and pelvis around 11:30 pm.

WorkSafe investigators have promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation and determine if further actions are necessary to prevent similar incidents in the future.
