New Safe Work Australia data shows WHS prosecutions declined in 2025, while the average financial penalty reached a record high.
Safe Work Australia has added the latest publicly available 2025 data to its work health and safety prosecutions dashboard.
The dashboard covers criminal prosecutions across Australia for breaches of WHS laws and regulations since 1 January 2020. It includes information about incidents, offences and sentencing outcomes.
The prosecutions dashboard is refreshed each year. The latest figures and other WHS dashboards are available through Safe Work Australia’s interactive data website, Our Data. Your Stories.
