Activity kit released for National Safe Work Month 2026

Safe Work Australia has released its 2026 National Safe Work Month activity kit to help workplaces turn WHS discussions into action ahead of October.
National Safe Work Month takes place each October, giving workplaces across Australia an opportunity to focus on safe and healthy work for everyone. The 2026 theme, safe work is for life, highlights the importance of protecting workers’ lives, health and futures throughout their working lives, rather than only preventing immediate harm.
The kit offers a flexible weekly program of activities, videos and discussion guides linked to the campaign’s focus areas. Workplaces can use the resources during team meetings, toolbox talks, health and safety committee meetings, training sessions or informal gatherings throughout October.
Safe Work Australia is inviting workplaces to download the kit and explore further resources on the National Safe Work Month website ahead of October. The kit is designed to support conversations, worker involvement and action towards safer, healthier workplaces.
