Healthcare and social assistance model Code now available online

Safe Work Australia has launched a web-based version of its model Code of Practice for the healthcare and social assistance industry, making the guidance easier to access and navigate.
The online model Code of Practice: Healthcare and social assistance industry contains the same guidance as the published text-based version, presented in a user-friendly web format.
It is designed to help employers and workers manage workplace risks and meet work health and safety (WHS) duties.
Healthcare and social assistance is Australia’s largest and fastest growing sector. It employs more than 2 million people and records the highest number of work-related injuries.
Developed through consultation with industry stakeholders and Safe Work Australia Members, the online model Code aims to improve access to WHS guidance for people working across the diverse sector. It is available on Safe Work Australia’s website.
