Worker fatally crushed by depot gate

A 57-year-old man has died after a depot gate fell on him. His death is the 14th confirmed workplace fatality for 2025.
It is understood the man was finishing his shift and leaving the depot when the gate moved beyond its supports, lost stability and fell onto him.
Another driver found him at about 11:45pm.
The confirmed workplace fatality tally for 2025 now stands at 14, compared with 21 work-related deaths at the same point last year.
