Safe Work Australia has updated its WHS prosecutions dashboard with the latest publicly available data from 2024 and added an industry filter.
The updated data can be explored through Safe Work Australia’s interactive data website, Our Data. Your Stories. Users can now filter prosecution data by industry.
The dashboard brings together national information about criminal prosecutions involving breaches of WHS laws or regulations from 1 January 2020 onwards.
It was developed in response to the 2018 Senate inquiry report They never came home – the framework surrounding the prevention, investigation and prosecution of industrial deaths in Australia. The prosecution data can inform decisions aimed at improving WHS outcomes.
Safe Work Australia will release further updates to the prosecutions dashboard each year. Other WHS dashboards are also available through its data website.
