WorkSafe Victoria will run 12 free online information sessions from 27 to 31 October, covering workplace safety trends, industry challenges and upcoming psychological health regulations.
The webinar series follows WorkSafe’s annual roadshow, which wraps up this week. Expert-led sessions will give participants an opportunity to learn about current workplace health and safety issues.
Topics include new psychological health regulations due to be introduced later this year, improving health and safety in hospitals, and keeping employees safe when working at heights.
The series will also cover regulatory requirements for planning and managing dangerous goods in renewable projects.
WorkSafe Chief Health and Safety Officer Sam Jenkin said the sessions were shaped around industry trends, including adapting to innovation and preparing for emerging challenges.
“The strong response we’ve had through early registrations shows there’s great interest from Victorian employers and workers who understand there is always more that can be done to improve health and safety in workplaces,” he said.
“The webinars align with WorkSafe’s purpose to reduce workplace harm and help employers support people returning to work, providing a great opportunity to build the knowledge to help drive positive change in Victorian workplaces.”
Every session will include a question and answer segment where participants can seek guidance on workplace health and safety issues. Registrations are open.
