Victorian employers and workers can now nominate for the 36th annual WorkSafe Awards, recognising efforts to reduce workplace harm and support injured people returning to work. Entries for the 2025 awards close on 30 June.

The awards recognise employers, workers and teams that have prevented health and safety risks or helped injured people return to work. Workplaces that have introduced best practices and fostered a safer culture are encouraged to enter.

Award categories cover health and safety representatives (HSRs), excellence in OHS, innovative safety solutions, successful return to work initiatives and the management of psychosocial risks.

WorkSafe Chief Executive Ash West described the awards as a way to showcase workplace safety efforts and share new approaches to complex hazards. He said they offered an opportunity to celebrate Victorian employers whose creativity, care and commitment to health and safety benefited the wider community.

“If you’ve taken steps to reduce workplace harm, we want to hear about your solutions and stories of going above and beyond.”

Last year, more than 140 nominations resulted in 21 finalists across the award categories. Those recognised included healthcare providers, educational institutions, local councils and emergency services.

Nominations are open to all Victorian-based employers and workers, who can nominate themselves or another person. Winners will be revealed at the WorkSafe Awards presentation and dinner in February 2026.
