Safe Work Australia launches new WHS performance reporting tools

Safe Work Australia has launched new tools on its Our Data. Your Stories. website to help organisations assess, measure and report on work health and safety performance.
The collection includes a dashboard that uses Safe Work Australia’s national workers’ compensation statistics. Users can filter the data by industry, occupation, injury type and severity.
The dashboard is designed to support a broader approach to measuring WHS performance through data. It will eventually replace the existing Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) calculator.
LTIFR can help assess how poor WHS affects productivity, but it has limitations as a measure of WHS performance.
The existing LTIFR calculator will remain available in its current form on the data website until March 2025. The new WHS performance reporting tools are also available on the site.
