Safety is everyone’s business: 2024 National Safe Work Month theme

Safe Work Australia has announced “Safety is everyone’s business” as the theme for National Safe Work Month 2024. The SafeTea campaign will also return, inviting workplace teams to discuss work health and safety over a cuppa.
The theme highlights a safe and healthy working environment as a fundamental principle and right for people across all industries and occupations. It also recognises the business benefits of a commitment to safer workplaces.
Each week of National Safe Work Month will focus on a particular work health and safety topic. Safe Work Australia has drawn on consultation feedback to shape this year’s topics.
SafeTea is returning following popular demand. The event-based campaign encourages workplaces across Australia to bring their teams together for conversations about WHS, with resources due to launch in the coming months.
Safe Work Australia has invited workplaces to get involved in fostering safer and healthier workplaces, with further information available on its National Safe Work Month webpage.
