Man dies during demolition works

A 49-year-old man has died during demolition works, with WorkSafe Victoria investigating the incident.
Part of the building structure is understood to have collapsed onto the man at about 8:45am, causing fatal crush injuries.
WorkSafe is investigating the death.
The incident brings the number of confirmed workplace fatalities in 2025 to 39, compared with 41 work-related deaths at the same point last year.
