Safe Work Australia retires LTIFR calculator

Safe Work Australia has retired its Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) calculator, replacing it with WHS data reporting tools released in December.

The replacement tools are available on Safe Work Australia’s data website, Our Data. Your Stories.

Safe Work Australia consulted widely on different methods to help users assess, measure and report WHS performance data more accurately.

The LTIFR calculator helped users draw conclusions about how poor WHS affected productivity. However, it had limitations when used on its own to measure WHS performance.

Users can explore the new reporting tools on the data website. Assistance with navigating the tools is available by emailing StatsOnline@swa.gov.au.
