SafeTea invites workplaces to talk safety this October

15 July 2024•BlueSafe Team•Source: Safe Work Australia

Safe Work Australia is inviting workplaces to host a SafeTea during National Safe Work Month this October, bringing colleagues together to discuss work health and safety over a drink.

The SafeTea initiative encourages teams to gather for a conversation about workplace health and safety. Tea is optional: participants can bring any beverage they choose.

Safe Work Australia has resources available on its website to help workplaces plan an event relevant to their industry. These include Safety Trivia, a tradie safety checklist and conversation starter dice.

The agency outlines three steps for organising a SafeTea: download the resources, follow its social media accounts for new materials and information, and share photos from the event.

Workplaces can follow Safe Work Australia on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Participants sharing event photos are invited to use #SafetyIsOurBusiness, #SafeTea and #SafeWorkMonth, with the agency planning to repost its favourites.
