New WHS profile explores risks for nursing, care and support workers

21 May 2025•BlueSafe Team•Source: Safe Work Australia

Safe Work Australia has released a work health and safety profile examining the risks faced by the nursing, care and support workforce.

The profile draws on Safe Work Australia’s National Dataset for Compensation-based Statistics and ABS Census data to examine work health and safety in these sectors.

It outlines the types of risks nursing, care and support workers most frequently encounter when carrying out their duties. The findings can help persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs) and workers understand and manage risks associated with their industry’s work.

The profile is available through Safe Work Australia’s Our Data. Your Stories website.
