Report examines early intervention in workers’ compensation

Safe Work Australia has released an independent Monash University research report examining early intervention in Australia’s workers’ compensation process.
The report, Early intervention in the workers’ compensation process, reviews evidence on different early intervention approaches, including what helps shorten recovery times and improve injured workers’ return to work outcomes.
The research combined consultation with a diverse range of experts across workers’ compensation and return to work with an environmental scan and a summary of Australian and international literature.
The findings will help inform further work under the National Return to Work Strategy 2020–2030.
