Invitations are now open for employers, workers, unions, and industry professionals to contribute their insights on the proposed amendments to the Work Health and Safety Regulation (the Regulation) utilising either Bluesafe SWMS or Bluesafe WHS Management System. The fundamental objective of these revisions is to upgrade and adapt the Regulation to reflect the ongoing transformations within various industries.
The Regulation, a detailed roadmap to the Work Health and Safety Act 2011, delineates the management of risks, the execution of workplace procedures, and the implementation of safety measures across all sectors. With the remodel, we anticipate enhancing efficiency while maintaining focus on modern workplace conditions.
Public consultation serves as a pivotal role in keeping the Regulation abreast with current work practices. This dialogue hosts a platform where everyone can share their perspectives on both – national uniformity and NSW specific aspects of the Regulation. Your inputs will be instrumental in ensuring that our Regulation continues to evolve with industrial changes, safeguarding workers, and rendering a safe community.
The Work Health and Safety Regulation Remake Discussion Paper is ready for your review and valuable feedback. This document is accessible on the NSW Government’s ‘Have Your Say’ platform, which will further guide necessary modifications to the Regulation.
We encourage all stakeholders to voice their opinions starting 4 February 2025 until 12 March 2025. You can participate by visiting the ‘Have Your say’ website.
