WorkSafe investigates man's death in recycling truck

The man is believed to have been working alone while trying to empty a bin.

He is believed to have become entangled in a lifting mechanism and been crushed inside the rear of the truck at about 10am.

His death brings Victoria's confirmed workplace fatality toll for 2024 to 44, compared with 71 work-related deaths at the same point last year.
